The hospital is under funded and basically only stabilizes patients. If ur dying you may may wish to go somewhere else. All the doctors agree too. I've talked to a few docs there and they say how management keeps the place underfunded.... They don't care.
Two horrible experiences....my first visit I was told I had cancer,they transported me to another hospital. It was a fractured spine.NOT CANCER. Second visit..I sit for five hours in agonizing pain from back issue...was offered nothing for pain...not interest in helping me yet the couple in the bed beside of me,yes couple, both admitted to ER. One of them for a head ache the other for a tooth ache, are offered pain meds within five minutes of their arrival. Needless to say I will NEVER make the mistake again of going to BGH.
I was treated so rude by the nurse and the doctor..There is no since in that.they prose to be caring to there patients.I broke my ankle a week ago and to night I fell on it tonight.they always think you want pain pills but I didn't I thought I broke it more.
Avoid if possible, worst hospital experience. Run don't walk. They file judgements against you and ask questions later, even if it is paid off years before. I have been trying to clear credit up from them for years, this is the only problem I have ever had with any creditor in my life. This was almost 10 years ago, and they continue to fill judgements, I haven't heard anything from them in over 6 years. I wonder if this is a angle they use, get you in when you have no other choice and then never let you off the hook.
